Check Out DrippDaDon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to DrippDaDon.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born into a very musical family. My family originally is from Rwanda but fled to Zambia during the Rwandan genocide. Being immigrants from Zambia, Africa, when we initially came to the US, I was only four years old. My mother packed all of our belongings into two bags. Being culturally challenged as I was entering a new world full of opportunities and cultural differences, I was determined to make a better life for myself in America. The determination and resilience that my family demonstrated just to get to this point, fuels my passion for success in music. I told my father before we came to the United States that I could not wait to turn on the lights in America! Back home in Zambia, we didn’t have that luxury. So fast forward to some years later, we get to a place where one of my older sisters got a computer. I stole it from her one night and began watching YouTube tutorials on music production and became obsessed with creating music from that point forward.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
